We’re raising money to support Give Kids The World,  a wonderful organization in Kissimmee, FL that gives seriously ill children and their families a chance to reconnect, forget about everyday life and just be happy. Their motto, ‘Where Happiness Inspires Hope’, inspires each of us and puts our own lives and goals into perspective. It is our hope that in riding It’s A Small World, that we will draw attention and awareness to Give Kids The World, while raising money to donate to their organization. Please feel free to share this link with friends, family and strangers– anyone who might want to take part in helping this wonderful organization continue to spread love and joy to countless children and their families.  Every little bit helps and no donation is too small. Participate

August 8th 2015 You can participate by riding, “It’s A Small World” in Disneyland, Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom or a virtual race on Saturday, August 8th. You pledge how long you ride, how much in donations you will collect per hour of riding and where! There are no hard and fast rules, no shaming, no corporal discipline for taking a lunch break (at least not very severe) and just a fun, supportive group of people looking for an exciting way to raise money for Give Kids The World.  Once you have decided how you would like to participate, you can begin fundraising by joining the Mickey Milers Give Kids The World Team and setup a personalized fundraising page.  Instructions for doing so can be found here. We aim to make it easy and, while we cannot guarantee it will be painless, it will be memorable.   It’s a world of laughter, a world of tears It’s a world of hopes and a world of fears There’s so much that we share that it’s time we’re aware It’s a small world after all It’s a small world after all It’s a small world after all It’s a small world after all It’s a small, small world There is just one moon and one golden sun And a smile means friendship to everyone Though the mountains divide And the oceans are wide It’s a small world after all It’s a small world after all It’s a small world after all It’s a small world after all It’s a small, small world It’s a small world after all It’s a small world after all It’s a small world after all It’s a small world after all...

The story of Give Kids The World begins with a little girl with a wish and the desire of one man to make that wish come true. The little girl’s name was Amy. Amy had leukemia and one wish – to visit the theme parks in Orlando. To facilitate Amy’s wish, the request of a complimentary stay was made to a respected hotelier. As he had done many times before, the hotelier gladly obliged and Amy’s wish was that much closer to being realized. Sadly, the remainder of Amy’s travel plans took too long to arrange and her wish was never granted; Amy had passed away. Time simply ran out. This unfulfilled wish inspired a man, the hotelier, to make a vow that no child in need would ever be failed again. That man was Henri Landwirth and his desire to ensure that Amy’s story would never repeat itself is where the story of Give Kids The World...
